Builder messed up my tiling

OcUk where you can debate relatively minor things in great detail :)

We recently had our bathroom completely re-done. I originally thought I'd have fallen right into the 'no pedestal' camp, but having looked at all the other options we've ended up with a pedestal!

Aesthetically, it just seemed to work best for our room.

Can't say I gave much thought to any cleaning overhead - but I'm sure we'll cope with an additional 30 seconds cleaning time.

It's got nothing to do with room size. It's just not necessary nowadays and makes cleaning the floor harder. If that doesn't bother you then fine

LOL, but what is worse, the extra 10 milliseconds it takes to clean the floor, or the fact your 1% more likely to hit your head on a non pedestal sink?

No idea why people even buy pedestals any more. They simply waste floor space

So going back a little, what else is the 30 cm2 'floor' space used for then?

I find it ideal for storing that pedestal shaped bit of ceramic which was otherwise just lying about the house.

I did think of putting the hoover there for a while, but unfortunately it didn't quite fit underneath the sink :D

bog rolls? :p

but seriously in our bathroom downstairs we have a cabinet under the sink and it stores toiletries, cleaners and towels. If you have a wall that can take the weight or prefer the designs of non pedestal sinks then the cabinet space is useful.

Now has been rectified by a builder who ironically worked on the builds in Cowboy builders.

The whole industry is one big botch job tbh, no wonder the Poles want a slice of the pie :p
