Building first Gaming pc All help appreciated!

Hi, i want to buy a pc about £600 for gaming mainly. I just need £600 for the base itself without any case atm ,for the case ill have to get some more money

so my options are
coolermaster 212 evo £27
ddram (not sure ) 8gb £50-60
gpu- powercolor myst radeon 7870 2gb £156
seagate barrucuda 1tb £48
Corsai 600 w bronze but theres a modular and non modular, what the difference



thats roughly £340 so i would have £210 left
so then
cpu - amd 8320 - £114 and a £100 motherboard
or Cpu- amd 8350 - £148 and a £70 motherboard
i would like to oc as mentioned so any ideas from this

Ty for all the help and if my currant parts could be better please suggest

No i dont have any components at the moment but i have about £600 for the tower and i would be ready to spend more on a case and the moniter, mouse ,keyboard etc but i just wanted to get my tower first but i guess i would need to pick a case as well and i would like to stick to my amd build atm :) not a fanboy but i think its better suited for my cash i think, not sure.
THanks for your build but i dont care for the games :) so would you be able to edit my top build like the powersupply or the cooler

I wouldn't get the parts until you are able to have everything you need to get it up and running and tested.

I think that fact you can get a very good intel vuild for that money is proof enough:

From what ive read, you really need a 990X motherboard to get the best out of the 83**'s..

I'd personally choose the Intel build everytime. Its much better.

What about this. 22" monitor and a cheap k&m to get you going. You can always upgrade the Gpu and add a cooler if you wish to OC, at a later date. But at least you will be up and running. You could leave the monitor if you have a TV you can use in the meantime.
And if you need an OS you can always use Win8 enterprise for a few months, until you can afford one.

Where you buy is up to you. :D
 
An overclocked 8320 is a good option given its low price and gaming performance. The 8350 isn't really worth it as there's no guarantee it will clock higher than the 8320 (which is otherwise identical), and it's not much cheaper than a 3570K. For boards, any decent 970 or 990.
 
idleman thanks for your help but couldnt you modify my above build a bit and not switch to intel, i know i am new to this but just been reading a lot that 8350 for its price can match the i5 3570 cause its cheaper.
So i just need to be clear with a gigabyte 990fx would i be better to get a 8350 or 8320 and i will overclock mostprobs so i need help with the psu, ddram , case and cooler lol :P

For an FX build at lower cost I'd get the 8320 and Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 board. For a little more money the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 instead.

PSU - any good 550W - 650W

RAM - 2x4GB 1600MHz CAS9/10 memory, or 1866/2133MHz if it's not much extra

Cooler - a good £30 air cooler is enough usually for about 4.3 - 4.5GHz

Case - any ATX case you like
 
Ill go for an 8320 £114 with gigabyte 990fxa -ud3 which is £98 :)

is a 8gb crucial ballistx (2 * 4gb) cl9 1600 mhz for £59 good?
whats the difference of cl9 and cl10
