Ok so I ordered loads of stuff to build a computer, put it all together etc. When I try to boot my HDD from the bios it says "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.

I'm using "Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ)" and "Asus P8P67 LE Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard ** B3 REVISION **"

Do I need an operating system to boot my HDD, I'm not really sure of what to do after I've put all the parts together.

At the minute I've got windows 7 extracting to my USB, can someobdy give me a step by step guide on how to install everything a computer needs fresh off the bat.

Hi,

Once you have Windows on your USB stick, plug it in. You will then need to go into your BIOS. (hit del key on the keyboard, on the Asus splash screen)

Then go into your boot priority and chose USB as your first boot device.
(This maybe in the advanced options in the top right)

When you save and exit then PC will restart, if your USB stick is plugged in then the windows setup should start.
