that usually has screws and stuff in

It did have screws and such, but i cant get the cardboard box out of the drive, It dosen't appear to be tied :S

And the DVD drive dosent seem to fit in the drive bay :/

What case?

Does it have quick release mechanism that needs to loosened before the drive slides backwards into the slot?

also if the pc case front cover is off ?? the DVD Drive will look as though its sticking out a bit ...all is good

Nah just a leaflet detailing all the parts, The optical drive bays are "tool-free"

The front cover is not off and it still sticks out.

ok take it out...and try again....

you are putting it in from inside the case yes ?

It has to be the tool-less thingy, does it sort of lever away at the front part of it?

make sure the quick release is open and slide it in from the front

Ya, I jammed it in, Didnt make a very good noise but it seems to be in, The clasp wont lock tho

seems to be secure even tho the little latch wont lock, Do i need to screw it in?

No....., you see the little " pins" on the locking arm ? ..they go into the screw holes on the side of the DVD drive.

what i did with my bay was un do it then slide the bayin slightly then clip the tooless mech back downand keep sliding the drive back till it clicks.

i also pooed my pants when putting the cpu lever down, dont worry if its in right its fine
