Building new rig and Raid 0

Ok understood bud (thanks for bearing with me I appreciate your patience).

Ive always wanted a triple monitor setup. So you are saying unequivocally, I would not benefit from 3 X 120Hz monitors because that would require a lot of grunt.

I.e. its either:

3 X 24" 1920 x 1200 Monitors (for example

or

1 x 27" (or 30"?) 1920 x 1080 144Hz?

I may consider it, but just going back again to the 120Hz.

My understanding is that 120Hz monitors actually display frames up to 120fps compared to say that of a standard 60hz monitor.

So how does it physically manifest itself on a 120Hz monitor compared to a non-120hz monitor (assuming you are achieving in excess of 60fps?)

I cannot "imagine" it.
 
Makes sense sure, but how do we interpret the extra "refresh" so to speak if you are running 60fps on a 120hz? is it smoother? faster?

Currently anything over 60fps on a 60hz is just more speed isn't it?
 
Ok Im pretty much ready to go except for the monitors.

I just wonder if getting 3 x 120Hz monitors is worth it.
I would very much like to see how these 120hz monitors perform compared to a 60hz one... all youtube videos are not able to portray this effectively.

Monitor wise I will just use what I have for now until I setup the rig.
 
Ok thanks Doomspeed, I think I will go with the Sapphires purely due to better performance for an extra 7 quid per card.
Plus the MSI cards arent in until 8th November it seems, can you confirm it?

I was so tempted to buy a third R280 for kicks :)

OCUK confirmed items have been shipped today, so if that is the case then chances are it will be tomorrow? Anyone from OCUK care to venture?
