Building new rig and Raid 0

Yes, see at the bottom there is a cable for the EPS in addition to the 4+4 EPS/ATX cable (which is hard wired into the PSU).

So the PSU already has such a cable coming out of it, why is there another EPS cable?

Any ideas?

Heres the rig thusfar!

Everything is more or less in, just need the HDD/SSDs in there and then I can start installation of Windows 7.

Cant get over how routing all the cables on the other side of the case tidies things up pretty nicely.

I will most likely put in a fan controller on the front since Im almost sure those case fans will be quite loud? (Any recommendations? :))

Also in my mind of minds, Im wondering whether I should change the case fans to something more quieter like Noctuas etc (but to be fair I havent powered this thing on yet - so will at least see how that goes and make a decision then).

Love the fact you can mount the SSDs vertically on the other side of the case (the side furthest away in the pictur eand on the right).
Just leaves my HDD to be mounted in the HDD cage at the bottom right.

Love it so far :) Hope the performance will be good!

It looks very nice mate, some great cable management there. :)

I've heard the H100i fans are a bit loud. They (aswell as your case) use SP and AF L series fans which don't come with the rubber gromits and colour riings. (:)) that the stanadard AF's and SP's do..

The Retail SP120's are much quieter and you can apply them with red rings to tie the build together. :)

Other options are notucas or Apaches, or even the GT's for the H100i. :)

Oh by the way, those cards will need an Xfire birdge. :D (you should have got one with the motherboard/GPU)

Hmm i see. The rubber grommits help with noise supression/vibration i guess?
Incidentally, the radiator is attached to the top of the case which in turn HAS rubber grommits (so effectively the Fan/Radiator combination is attached to these case grommits).

What does AF and SP stand for I wonder? And the differences?

You with the red again!
I think the Retail SP120s have a lower max RPM ?

Ooh, thanks for reminding me, infact I was looking at the crossfire bridge yesterday to install it but I just simply forgot.

Yeah the rubber gromits stop the vibration. Your Rad seems well mounted. :)

I know this, it helps identify where to use them too.

AF = Airflow, they are used as case fans, to move the air through the case.
SP = Static Pressure, these are designed specically for radiators and heatsinks. As they repsond bette rto static pressure.

So if you wan new fans for the Rad, get SP's, if you want new fans for the exhaust/intake get AF's.

But itll look awesome. :)

Im pretty sure your right about that too. :)

Understandable, its a important little thing though. :D

Received the controller. Love the design. Installed it yesterday - all good. Except one of the sensors is not sticking onto the heatsink of one of the 280Xs.

All I have to do now is fit the Disk Drives and Im ready to go!

This just leaves me with ordering 3 panels.

Recomendations? :) (Games such as Civ 5, SWTOR, BF4, CS:GO etc).
