Hiya Everyone

I'm actually posting on behalf of a friend. He's wanting to build a Conroe Rig that will be used all round, gaming and work. He has a £1200 budget but also needs a Monitor!

Update: He currently has nothing, needs everything! :eek:

Thanks for the rapid response Stelly, just been on the phone to him with the specification youve suggested, hes very keane on adding 7.1 speakers, would you suggest an alternitive sound card? :)

I wouldnt change the sound card since it has an onboard 7.1 sound system... but the order now looks like this...

Edit: I had included a 75GB Western Digital Raptor 10,000RPM in this, but realised there's no point and would have to either cut the X1900XT down to an X1800XT or cut the G.Skill 2GB down to Geil 1GB to keep it at budget, so I cut the Raptor instead and added a second 200GB Western Digital Caviar as they're cheap and more than fast enough.

Edit: I realised that those Lansing Versatile speakers are crap, so I cut the second disk drive (250GB should be enough right?) and added better ones.

Edit: Just read that he specifically wants 7.1 and not 5.1, added.
