Building regs for gap between soil pipe and wall

So funnily enough to comply with building regs we need a first floor bedroom window to open enough for ventilation. It used to be able to be opened fully, but now it can't be due to a new soil downpipe which has been fitted for the second floor bathroom... which is why we need building regs in the first place.

It's close, like really close, but basically I've just removed the existing brackets on that portion of the wall and with the soil pipe against the wall it allows the window to open fully.

I've searched for "wall" in the building regs sections on soil pipes and can't see anything to do with a minimum or maximum gap, and the NHBC just says they should be "fixed neatly and securely to provide the correct falls". But the only 110mm soil brackets I can see for sale have a ~40mm spacer between the pipe and the wall. For example: https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-pipe-clips-black-110mm-5-pack/76037. If I can use a 110mm saddle bracket that'd be perfect.

Can anyone advise?

So was / is the pipe blocking the window opening or the bracket ? Either way I'd be getting the builder to move it so it can open, that's shocking.

I don't believe there are any regs for the distance the soil pipe it from the wall but will be for height above a window / roof line to vent

The pipe, due to the 40mm gap that the bracket causes. To be fair, the window never fully opened because it had a child safety cable on it, but now that it needs to be for fire ventilation the cable can be removed (was installed by previous owners, we don't have a child!).
 
Seeing as they're all push fit joints, looks like it should be a pretty simple job to move that pipe a bit so it doesn't interrupt the window opening.

That's exactly what I've already done but it doesn't answer the question?

Anyway, the building controller has got back a lot quicker than I anticipated and confirmed there's no minimum gap requirement.

I think we both mean entirely re-route the pipe so it doesn't foul the window at all.

I don't think that's feasible. It connects immediately below the window to an existing soil pipe, and you can't see it but immediately to the right of the new one is the bathroom window. It would need to re-route at least 1000mm to the right to clear that, with the 'in' and 'out' points the same. If it was even possible with the drop angles required it'd look like a crazy marble run.

Anyway, building controller is happy with saddle brackets, now I just need to find some 110mm ones!
 
Stuff like this always seems due to less than thorough planning on your builder/architects part.

However, as a solution could you fix the brackets to the bedroom window wall so that the soil pipe is then tight to the adjacent wall. If you used pipe clamps (the rubber lined type that attach to a threaded bar/bolt) that’d give you plenty of scope to control the fixing position.
