Built new PC but Lacking performance ?

So you have dual channel correctly running, the RAM is at 1333Mhz (but that wont cause crap performance) this can be fixed by setting XMP in the BIOS to get the RAM upto the correct speed (if the memory controller in the CPU can handle 2400Mhz? it may prefer 2133Mhz).

If you also download Prime95 and run that does the reported core speed (showing at 1.4Ghz because of power saving) jump upto the correct speed?

GPU-Z (and other programs like MSI afterburner) have logging functions.

Can you run GPU-Z, enable the logging and run a game, then look at the file created and it will have a simple to understand list of,

Time, GPU clock speed, Mem clock speed, Temps and fan speed.

Doe sthe GFX card work as it should?

im running the 3D mak demo at the moment, Its now showing me FPS but its silky smooth will post what ever results it gives, Then will do the GPU-Z thing

And the latest graphics drivers .....

Sorry but I'm stumped too, if BF4 runs as well as the benchmarks then I'd have to point the finger at the game your friend is playing - perhaps he can contact their support.

Looking about it does seems that farm sim is actually quite a demanding game. its the draw distance that causes a problem, If he stays looking down slightly fram rate shoots up, look into the distance shoots down

that game is probably just running on a crappy engine then

Weird, surely it being a AMD car vs nvidia cannot make that much difference ? I have read it prefers nvidia cards but it can't be that much. Might try uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. (Purchased through steam)

Must be the game, all reslts point to it being right.

You can of course run Unigine Heaven and Valley and compare the results to the two threads in the GFX forum.
