BulletStorm - Official Thread

Just seen (and played) the demo and i'm sold! It's absolutely outrageous and I love it!

Now, to pay £30 or wait it out for a price drop... *strokes beard*

Well its an EA published game and they're having a sale. Take a wild guess :D

Was decent but the dialogue is so pathetic it started grating before the demo ended never mind the full game.

Saw it today for £14.99 and had to have it. And it's absolutely brilliant. I've got Dead Space on the go as well but I think Dead Space will be waiting for me to finish Bulletstorm.

It's about as deep as a puddle but who honestly cares? I've not had this much fun with a game since Doom 3.

Just finished Dead Space 2 and decided to play this, it does seem a very short game but it is so much fun this does not matter at all. I guess if you care about achievements it could keep you going for a long while, but I don't I just like to play games. In some places it can look really stunning as well. Need to get to bed before my wife wakes up and kills me :)

I finished it last year and i'm seriously considering another run-through. It was damn good fun, despite Epic trying to shoe-horn their chest-high clutter crap into the game.

Do not blame you at all, not had this much fun in ages game wise. Great little game this

Just finished this just in time to take the kids to the local football match. Loved every second of it, looks nice and was tons of fun. Not tried multiplayer yet, doubt it will be like Gears though.

The multiplayer is quite good if you play it with people you know. In order to progress, you have to score good combos for killing the enemies which is difficult to do with randoms.

I really wanted to enjoy this game but there was just some small fundamental fails with it that in my mind just goes totally against the FPS genre, unfortunately Bulletstorm isnt the only game with these flaws but it just shouldnt be the case with any FPS.

First is the 'in your face' linear, on rails gameplay. You cant stray from the path at all. Second, is many parts of the games level designs are on different levels (upstairs/downstairs kinda thing) but due to the 'on rails' gameplay you cant fall off a ledge or even jump to another ledge. Hell, you cant even jump full stop! I can still remember parts of some levels with large open areas that 'look' like big playgrounds to play in, but they are deceptive and in actual fact you cant explore any of it other than what the linear path allows.

Bad bad bad decisions by EPIC, such a shame.

Anyone have any issues playing multiplayer on this? Im trying to play with a friend but it just constantly fails to connect.

picked it up cheapo on steam, not a bad little game. One of the reasons i love steam is getting games like this on the cheap. Would be cheesed off if i had paid any more than a fiver for it though :D

You both need:

1: Open NAT
2: UPNP enabled
3: Firewall allows GFWL client & Bulletstorm exe's through it

Any issues just go here & follow the guide after chosing your router brand:

As long as GFWL is setup Co-Op is flawless (Co-Op is the only online gamemode no MP as such just Co-Op with up to 4 players in total including you).

Strange thing is we both have open nats according to GFWL. I will have another crack at it tomorrow, its shame we couldnt get it working the anarchy mode was very fun when i had a quick mess around.
