The next free DLC involving motorcycles for Burnout Paradise formerly known as Davis has been aptly renamed Burnout Bikes. MTV Multiplayer had a chance to try out the update and has the following details to share with us:

Unlike cars who smash into bits during crashes, motorcycles are basically indestructible. However, when the driver flies off a bike, the driver will disappear on impact. This allows the game to maintain a Teen rating with the ESRB.

You can choose the gender of your rider.
You can perform wheelies, and it is "measured for duration in real-time just like drifting is for the game's cars."
A motorcycle-license career path will be added.
The new content will add about 15 hours of playtime.
A day-night cycle and weather will be introduced.
Motorcycle vs. car not in this expansion, but planned for the future
No specific release date has been announced, but it should be "in the next couple of months."

My first attempt at getting it failed. The patch downloaded perfectly fine, but when launching the game I was advised my downloadable content was corrupt and unusable. Just deleted it and trying again.

EDIT - Worked fine second time around.

There's been no extra music added, and it does indeed add custom soundtracks. It's all done through EasyDrive, rather than through the options menus. It took me bloody ages to suss it too :p

Yeah, i found that. :p.

I dont remember all those classical tracks in it before the patch?

Yes and the update after that might have flying saucers.
With all these updates everybody will need bigger h/drives.
I am waiting for the poster that says MS must be bankrolling them so they can sell 120gig drives
 
So far we have **** all extra cars, islands and SP races.

All this talk about update this and next update that blah blah but in the meantime there is very little that is really interesting :(
 
Well, I'm a sucker, I'm downloading the update ready for the game arriving in tomorrow's post :)

Can't wait to play it again, and can't wait for the Bikes update :D
 
Got Paradise yesterday. Really enjoying it and online is cool just seamless transition from singleplayer. Need to find routes for Stunt Run though, im a bit pap at it :P

Near the quarry and the dam, just drive to that, if you run out of time on the way there tap the boost a little to keep the last stunt going until you reach the dam/quarry
