Buying a Ps3

I named two, Virtua Fighter is online on Xbox360 and I also mentioned The Darkness is far from unplayable.
The days of bad ports aren't long gone, we need only remember Turok which is newer than Burnout Paradise or CoD4 (games that looked like the trend was changing).
Also, whether or not that is changing (as I'm sure it is) there are already a lot of multiformat games out that ARE worse, so it's not something that can (or should) be glazed over.
I've also not mentioned anything anti-PS3 in this thread at all. If anything I've been praising it in many threads. I've had people mentioning as such

Lol 360 vs ps3 Turok look the same, (with maybe nicer textures on the PS3 for the T-rex) seriously Nokkon you do talk some BS sometimes.

So was I. I also got it when it came out and played it a lot. However the XBox360 has an online option, a massive part of any fighting game. I'd say that makes it the lesser of 2 versions.
And no, I've not played the Xbox360 version, only the PS3 version.

I think the ps3 has been one of better purchases. Mainly got it for blu-ray but games are good. Now got Tversity to stream avi properly so now I can sell my media pc for a couple of bob!
I had an xbox 360 shortly after launch but promptly sold it due to lack of games, obviously there are shed loads of games for all formats now.
I think the xbox 360 @ £150 is fantastic value if all you do is game. Ps3 is good for blu-ray support, wireless included, media streamer, DVD upscaler, HD-Audio format support pending.
All the three consoles are excellent value for there intended uses (or is it extended uses incase of ps3?)
This argument about ports being better on 360, I dont know i dont have a 360, they cant be much different. Vegas 2 rocks on ps3! as does devil may cry 4.......

VF5 is rubbish anyway. Get yourself Tekken5 Online from the PSN store. Far better game + online, and isn't on the 360
But it isn't a port on the PS3. The 360 version is the port.

No, they do not look the same. The PS3 version is inferior. Both versions are crap.
I prefer tactical and strategic fighting thanks. Tekken has never surpassed Virtua Fighter in terms of technical fighting.
And I have Tekken 5 (offline). It's okay.
It's been ported, i.e. it's a multi-format title. Either way the Playstation 3 version is the worse of the two.
You're very misinformed sunshine. The PS3 version is inferior by quite a ways. Both rubbish games, but the PS3 version graphically is worse.

That's not what ported means. Just admit that VF5 isn't a port on the PS3, that's all. It wont hurt.
