After another thread I posted on here i've decided an S2000 fit my requirements quite nicely so wanted to see what the owners on here thought of them. Also wanted to get an opinion on this, I think the kit makes it look nicer than the standard one and nice low miles. Are there any major differences between GT and non-GT?

Also, are there any uk forums I should be looking at for 'for sale' sections?

Cheers.

Had a look at that one myself!

Seems like its in great condition, very low miles for the year and the 2000 year means that it won't get hit into the £400 tax bracket (its been suspended for a while though..)

Would like to get it for nearer to 7k though..

You can fit a hardtop to a non GT too with the mounting kit.

Looks tidy. Its does not have the revisions on suspension that the newer model has so make sure you are well aware that it might not give you any indication of letting go, the original version is described as "twitchy" I think :D

s2ki.com has a dedicated UK/for sale section

You have to be prepared to really work the engine to get the best from it, but it's an absolute hoot, you'll be grinning like a Cheshire cat.

What does a Supercharged S2000 put out roughly? I have heard that the rear end is twitchy enough....do you need to spend much on handling upgrades to balance out the newly acquired power?

I think the problem is when it comes on cam mid corner in the wet.

~300 at the wheels without too much hassle.

Handling upgrades are always beneficial with a FI application. Brakes, a decent geo the correct tyres. The car handles beautifully at stock, at least I think so. I am on a slightly revised 06 model that eliminated some of the unpredictability of the back end. I have comfortably had the back end right out in the wet.

No more twitchy than any other RWD with no driver aids to be honest. Its all down to driving style, you cant hoon it round a corner like you can in an AWD nutter saloon but that is not exactly a 'problem' isolated to the S2000 :D

Your asking for trouble if you slam it into the powerband in the wrong conditions, if you let the back rubber onto white lines and you gun it your going to lose some traction. Perform an overtake in the wet, do this and hit VTEC in 1st/2nd then I wouldn't be surprised if the back comes a little unstuck.

Tyre choice makes a difference too, mines on Bridgestone RE050 which I believe are recommended.
