buying clothes off ebay

I've bought a few pairs of Red Ear jeans off Ebay , 100% original and saved abiut £90 a pair , it is a bit easier with the likes of red ear as fakes are not that common

Price and convenience? The ability to try out items at your leisure rather than in a rush in a shop?

And have to pay shipping to send them back if they are not right, await your refund and possibly have to pay a re-stocking fee!

Not only that but you can never quite tell the colours online!

I'd always say go to one of the shopping outlets and get your stuff.

Being In Southampton, Portmouths Gunwharf Quays is my local outlet where hubby buys Paul Smith jeans at £40 a pop also a Levis outlet when the jeans are anything from £5 (if your a 46w 28L) to £40

The Paul Smith jeans last far longer than the Levis which always seem to go at the crotch and fade really bad.

There is also Whiteley near me but thats a bit rubbish

Nah depends where you buy from :) Catalogues all have free returns and you don't get a refund, because you don't pay them up front.

Should I only buy clothes from cool places then, for fear of not meeting with certain people's approval :)

Not at all just expressing a personal opinion! Most of my clothes are George at ASDA! where i can get 7 outfits for the retail price of a pair of brand name jeans!

Have bought a few pairs of jeans/T shirts/and a denim jacket off ebay. IMO people selling fakes tend to have a lot of stuff for sale, tend to be abroad China/Australia. Our lass got two pairs od diesel jeans and a Miss Sixty jacket for about £50 all the real deal too. Must have saved about £120

I just won some Levi's Red Tab Cinch Bach Style 542 (BNWT) jeans for £12, apprently an xmas present but has lost the receipt. Doesn't seem to be fake (looks like a one off) so I will wait and see :o

I've bought plenty of jeans off ebay and they've all been genuine and excellent bargains.

Obviously if the seller is we_nick_fools_buy_69 then you're right to be a little suspicious as to either the quality or the origin of the goods.

I sold a pair of Levis on eBay recently, think they went for £20. I paid £2 for them using a cunning combo of La Redoute special offers and vouchers.

i wear my ebay armarni jeans quite regularily, no1 comments on them, they just regard them as normal jeans, whats the lesson from this, 1. no1 cares if they are fake, 2. no1 notices they are fake, 3. no1 notices them, so you may as well spend your money at a high street store and test the quality of the materials

IMO

PS i noticed some1 posted a link to the ebay armarnis in this thread, i have the exact same pair, so i can post pics if you want, canny pair of jeans

HEY!! thats me! Want to buy a watch ?? ;)

i bought a pair of oakleys off ebay, due to the price i knew they would be fake... the rims are all good but the lenses are complete rubbish and have scratched to hell

as for jeans i dont care for the fancy designer stuff anyway so it doesn't bother me.. .had a nice pair of red ck jeans once :)

having had a quick look around ebay the armani/versace/boss jeans look the more likely to be fake compared with the more obscure brands such as for all mankind, paper denim cloth.

personally if you're going to buy expensive jeans i wouldn't bother with armani/versace/boss as i don't rate the quality of them, whereas things like for all mankind in my opinion are worth the premium

Bought myself a pair of Diesel Lyurker jeans, and when I compaired it to "Genuine Bought ones" I couldnt tell the difference at all. Even the microstitching.
So who cares if they might not be endorsed officially by Diesel.... they are all made in and around the same sweat shops anyways :)

Where do all them jeans from ebay come from? As I doubt the manufacturers will sell to the ebay people for cheap.

I personally would never buy off ebay, I'd rather pay several hundred for the proper version from the shops, whilst knowing in the back of my mind that they aren't fake.
