Bye bye eclipse

I had packetloss issues with Eclipse when I started out with them but a few calls to technical support (Which were very good imo) and the problem got sorted out fairly sharpish.

Only thing that annoys me now is that I pay £30 a month for high speeds and yet in peak time my connection drops from 8Mb to under 2Mb :/

At least you can regrade easily via the webpanel!

As an update to my previous gripes about 20% packet loss, I signed up to l8nc.com to have someone else monitoring my line. Over the past few days it's been pretty bad, but this morning - clear as a bell:

... and STILL Eclipse support haven't contacted me about the call I logged on Monday regarding packet loss.

I'm definately looking forward to better service and no throttling with my new provider.

You should go with TitanADSL, which again is an enta reseller, i think Teki187 and myself from these forums have signed up with them!

Activation is next Tuesday for me :)

Can't believe the price (£16.50) with 8 statics free I'm not a big downloader so 30gig a month is fine for me and if I want to up it to 300gig that only £19.99 which is still good!!

Whats your pings like in game Fisha?

Already been on the forum and all sounds good so far :D

ever heard the phrase "too good to be true" you bet yourself by christmas/summer they will slowly introduce FUP/AUP and traffic shapping as more people hear about these low profile isp's.

i am with Tesco at the moment and the speeds are crap, i know its 512 but nearly every other isp has a good 512 connection thats stable (even aol).

These are resellers however Enta isnt a low profile broadband provider they are most likely the best ADSL broadband provider in the uk.

Erm yes I have but after being with NTL for 6 years they are a breath of fresh air to me!

And you moan about Tesco's? Anything good to say about anyone??

Well its one day to go before my adsl24 is activated (although for all I know it could be active now... I'll check tonight) and Eclipse have FINALLY gotten back to my about my packet loss complaint - telling me they think they've fixed the issue, and guess what - they have indeed! I sent 1000 pings to demons dns server and not a single one dropped. Miraculous.

Too little too late I'm afraid, poor quality network, no feedback from technical support - I'm still off!

well i got activated today with TitanADSL wow what a difference from AOL hell i sync at 8128 and my speeds are 750k+. :D
another great Enta reseller. Well done Titan
