After 5 years ( 2 cars ) of Scooby ownership I have finally decided to grow up and buy something sensible

had enough of watching where I park , chavs shoving thier greasy mitts all over it and the farcical running costs and monstrous depreciation

I will have it for one more week till the new car is ready and I get finance sorted but the deal on the new one is agreed and deposit paid :(

Very nice car there mate )

More mature car than the scoob, guess the years are starting to tick by hey bud

I'll be honest that may have been a real factor

Traitor. ;)

Lovely car squire. We share the same birthday, I had to check your age so was relieved I still have 6 years to grow up and get a "proper" car

my opinions have changed a lot in 6 years

how much was it?

this is why it was irresistible , I paid £26k ( plus waranty costs and the fact the it is due a service ) which I believe is low considering the spec and mileage

at least I hope it was cos the p/ex I got on mine really hurts :(

Like the new motor, very tasty.

I'm curious about your comments on running the Scoob. Just what were the running costs of it whilst you had it?

TBH I wasn't that serious the M£ will be as bad , the Scooby cost around £1000 a month to run inc fuel and depreciaition

MPG , brakes and depreciation were the only reaaly bad costs in running it

What was the part ex, 10k?

£12.5k, really hurt as that is over £10k depreciation in just over 2 years but I have been watching folks trying to sell Imprezas and nothing is shifting so I had to be realistic

didn't do it to save money

re reliability I have no reason to believe that it at any more risk of being unreliable than any other car

Cheers folks , just spoke to bank and had loan approved :D next stop insurance

Can anyone help with this , on the sellers spec of the car there are two things listed that I can't work out , anyone know what they stand for ?

H/F/S H/R/S

insurance sorted , was more than the Scooby which is a little surprising ( may be the higher value ) but £770 inc business use doesn't sound too bad

How does it compare in performance terms/handling to the scooby?

not collected it yet , it's having a service and 2 new tyres while I get the money tranferred etc, should collect it next weekend
