Yeah, i realise its probably an uphill battle, but im hoping that may if people are made aware of it and are interested, then hopefully theres a better chance of getting some numbers together.
Personally, i know i'll be going in with the default setup to a car, and i'll probably spend about 10min familiarising myself with the layout (the braking points etc really), and thats it. Im hoping that, beyond making sure people know the layout well enough to be able to be able to race, that people will treat it as more of a fun event, rather than taking a competitive view and realising they're not the fastest and giving up.
Likewise, I'm hoping that the novelty of the 10x time and dealing with the changing conditions means that people simply enjoy it for that, and stick with it to experience it, compared to doing say 1h around Silverstone in perfect conditions and every lap being repetitive.
I'd be very surprised if there isnt something similar being organised on the WMD forums, so perhaps if its not looking so good, we could look further afield, but then i'd rather have 10 OCUK people and 10 AI in a race, than 30 (or whatever the limit is) randoms.
@Muska, what wheel have you got/peds do you need?
Ive no personal preference to when its held, as long as it doesnt clash with F1 my weekends are empty, although im heading to Oulton for the BTCC this weekend
