C & C Generals

So...having a slightly retro hankering to go and play on this. Sadly can't find my copy of generals or zero hour anywhere.

Went on to the origins store to see if they had it but to no avail.

Does anyone know where I can download a copy?

Origin does but its in a multi pack with all the other C&C games

I've got most of them so really don't see the point in paying £18.00 when I could get it elsewhere for a lot less!

I've given up on that game. Seems to have a really bad memory leak on newer operating systems.

Wait for a sale on Origin and you can get the multi pack cheap. The memory leak only effects the 8 player maps I think.

Yeah the Ultimate collection works great on windows 7/8/8.1 for those who worry about it working.

Think it's £4.98 on Amazon.

Good to know. I think I only tried 8 player maps on 7 and 8. Will have to give it a go again with smaller maps. I'm on 8.1 now.

The latest one ensures it works with windows 7/8 without issues, which is nice.

We still play RA2 and Yuris revenge online

I think generals was an accidental gem for EA, they had absolutely no clue just how good it was and ultumately let the game go to waste.

Its funny you raise this, I purchased the Ultimate collection the other day as I had a hankering to start with the first C&C and play all of them

(yes could take some time!).

FYI the first C&C has crazy scroll speed, there are patches out there to correct this.

I remember when it was released original why has it got the C&C name and so forth it is sacrilege etc etc Zero Hour is amazing as it was what Generals should have been I was looking forward to the new Generals by Victory Games but was cancelled

I played for hours on those two games there was going to be a sequel at one bit but that disapeared.

i might give zero hour a go, i didn't find generals to be good, yet every game up to then i very much enjoyed.
