C: Partition Help

all,

at work our IT team have partitioned 110gb of space from our harddrives so leaving us 40gb of C: space.

the 110gb is sat partitioned but unused.
Using disk manager in XP how can i format and then reatach the partition to the C: giving me the full 150gb that i'm supposed too?

it has been done on another machine but no one can remember how to do it.

If you delete the partition, You should be able to expand the C: partition with the extra space (Hopefully)

thats what we've tried but not sure where we go to expand the C: Drive.

Use imgburn to burn it to disc, boot from the cd

Load up 'gparted' and expand it, then click apply.

Backup first.

Tbh though, I'd just ask your IT team, they hate it when people 'fiddle'

trouble is our IT team have all left and we have new guys here who don't know how to do it.

we have our harddrives limited to 40gb which is useless when we use AutoCAD + Paramics/Vissim/Vissum which produce massive files. Our systems get clogged up really quickly
