I couldnt wait, got my q6600 (B3) as soon as the price dropped, currently on [email protected] Vcore (0.3 vdroop so really 1.344 in cpuz) idles at 43,43,42,38 on the cores and at full 100% load hits 70 degrees. Though in real world apps like oblivion hits 58,49,48,42 degrees max. Using Coretemp and Intel Tat for temps.

Has it not been posted earlier on that a shipment is expected of Q6600s? I would be surprised if Intel were to tell their buyers "this batch will be G0" - Intel aren't planning on maintaining the G0 and B3 version, they are simply replacing it - it is not like retailers can place orders with Intel for one or the other.

this is true intel are shipping to suppliers but suppliers dont want to be lumberd with b3 chips so they go first its called economics

That wasnt my question though. ;)
My question was that there must be some ETAs for the next few batches to arrive, and i'd imagine that someone at OCUK must know when these are.
From that we can extrapolate a few reasonable timeframes for how long we have to wait.

Unless they know that the shipment they are receiving will be B3 stepping and are choosing not to comment.

Maybe 16??!!

Is their, is their, where, where? :p ;)
The 16th (so asuming anything upto the 19th for delivery) is a little later than i wanted it tbh.
I wanted a few weeks with two systems to 'safety' transfer all my data to my new system, if it works out at that, i'll have 3-4 days. :(.
Ah well, should be more than enough time.
