For some reason my C300 64GB SSD seems to stutter every so often (as in every few seconds) and it is really getting to be annoying. It is showing that it has the latest firmware update and it only has my OS currently installed on it.
I only bought this a week ago, so is this a sign that the drive is failing already?

If there is something I am missing or doing wrong, please let me know. Oh, and all my componants minus the raptor are in the sig below

I also have this drive and the stutter but it can be "fixed"

it is an issue with the 006 firmware, they are aware and are working on it.

To fix it disable write caching on the drive.

I never noticed it on the OS/Desktop but in games i was locking up for 1s every 1 min or so, driving me utterly mad.

Since doing this ive not noticed any issues at all, still great speeds for read.

I left write caching enabled on mine but disabled the trim command via cmd

The garbage collection on these drives works really well and running on the marvel controller, it didnt matter anyway.

Runs fine now and have no slow downs

Ok, I will try this soon, in the middle of a film and can't be bothered retesting till its done :P

I did test it with HDTach before, and while it normally steadys out at 220MB/s, it would hit 220, then drop to between 0-60MB/s, which was infuriating! I will post back then I have tried this fix

Thanks for the fix though

Ok, disabling write caching fixed the issue, so thanks for sharing that info.

I have dropped 10MB/s, but I couldn't care less since my computer no longer stutters :) Just hoping that firmware 0007 can fix this

I've been getting this too I think. Sometimes after booting into windows everything seems to lock up. I can still move the pointer, but cannot select any icons on the desktop or taskbar.

Will try the write caching fix.

My C300 wouldn't work without Intel RST installed. The default Microsoft driver would freeze it for several seconds after every action in Windows.

I have TRIM enabled and write cache disabled now, no problems whatsoever.

Hopefully the new firmware will fix any issues.
