What do you guys think to this, particulary the coupe - the 6.2 version. I want one but can't afford one so not a dreamer thread etc.

I was looking at exhausts and found this...can't be right surely on an NA car? That is more than I can get from a remap and exhaust on a turbocharged car...
** No hotlinking images **
This would make the 125 version 560hp!!!

extra 91 horses at the wheels

Christ that's a full mk4 golf gti extra from a remap and exhaust/induction

i'm guessing the stock stuff is rather restrictive

C63s use the same engine as those in the earlier generation E63 and CLS63 whose power output was rated at 525bhp. The C63 does have a more restrictive exhaust, to the tune of around a 20bhp restriction, however it's still very much a 500bhp engine. This is then restricted through the throttle opening - push the throttle to the floor and the fly-by-wire throttle will not fully open at the throttle butterfly

So its relatively simple/cheap to get a fairly substantial improvement. The ECU remap is about £800, which for the gain is peanuts.

I need a wider monitor to view the image. please send a wider monitor.

jokes aside, C63 is epic, ditch the scubadivingaudis and get one.

Wait a minute. Am I missing something here? Apart from your inability to construct a proper sentence, do you not drive a 1.8T Audi that you can't afford to put petrol in to get to a meet? This was only a few weeks back? And now you either CAN afford a E63, and it's not a dreamer thread, or it IS a dreamer thread, in which case it all makes sense and you have just put an extra not in there?

I think it was just a typo (I make them all the time)

I think he was trying to say he wants one, can't afford one so its a dreamer thread (nothing wrong with that).

To the topic, they are nice cars, I test drove one a couple of years ago before I bought my first 911. It sounded awesome but it just did not feel special enough to justify the costs and running costs. I found the M3 more fun to drive overall.

Graph makes no sense. The c63 coupe is around 450~478 standard depending on where you look. MB list it as 457.

Graph also seems to show that power figure utilising new headers, filters, exhaust and ecu remap.

Whaaaaaat?

I was trying to ask if the tuners claims were correct without trying to make it sound like I am thinking of buying one, which I am not, because I cannot yet afford a £37k car (for the cheapest Coupes atleast).

Hence it is not a dreamer thread, that would be "what do you think of this car, thinking of buying one (but can't actually afford to but won't tell anyone that)".

Jesus...not hard to comprehend is it?

Look I didnt want to drive 200 miles each way to go to a meet where people probably don't even want to talk to me. So I just used that as an excuse.

Are you admitting that you make things up on the internet? I'll go to the foot of our stairs!

The C63 AMG are limited to 90% throttle on purpose as engine in faster models is 525BHP as standard with 100% throttle.

So remap gives 100% throttle and extra power from breathing mods! all quite possible. :)

I looked at the C63 AMG but legroom was an issue and my feet are large (size 14) enough that the stupid footbrake got in the way. But they don't half go like stink!

Love this car. Get over to piston heads for more info on tuning. Plenty of mapped and or supercharged c63 owners on there!

Took one for a test drive yesterday. One of the most impressive cars I have ever driven.

Will see how much prices drop after the new model comes out. I need that engine in my life.
