C8 incoming

Thanks.

I have the o11 dynamic at the moment but im flogging the full pc, so thinking of getting this case. But the issue i had with the o11 was that with a v-mounted gpu, i could fit fans but no rad at the bottom.

Im wanting 3 x 360 rads. Not that i need 3, I just want 3
Regretably you cannot install a Vertical mount with a rad/fan config in the base.

The reply I received from our PM stated:

Code:
Hi Lee,
If you are using vertical GPU, no room for radiator. C8 has 8pcie slot, if you are taking 7pcie slot, only 33-30mm room in between.
You need to have at least 53mm with radiator and fan.

What about some vertical mount that allows to install the bracket quite high?
Coolermaster V3 would allow 2 slots higher, removing the corner of the bracket. Also some Lian Li, like the one for the Evo or the old XL ones.
Only issue would be that the GPU is oils overlap the CPU block, allowing very little room for connectors.

The advantage of the cooler master is that you can adjust how close, of far, from the motherboard you want. Also move a bit to the right if the GPU interferes with the exhaust fan at the back.
Not 100%, but that’s an idea.

Sorry I missed this but unless I'm misreading the question, you totally can.

Does it sit higher up that other mounts? Or will any fit the case?

The plate covers 7 PCI-e slots - you remove the top 7 slot covers, leaving the bottom one in place - that seems to buy you the extra space you need. As you can see in the images below, the riser cable itself isn't secured to a horizontal plate as it would be with a case-specific riser set-up, but I am using the anti-sag stand that my gpu came with. I was initially slightly concerned about it "floating" but it's quite secure, there doesn't appear to be any strain on the card itself.

Some vertical brackets allow you to remove one corner of their 2 or 3 slots and move the bracket even higher, but you should take into consideration if moving the card too high won’t interfere with the AIO pump/block. Some bulk AIOs may require you to move the GPU further away from the motherboard, but not all brackets allow that adjustment, reason why I was suggesting the Coolermaster one.

Nice. Need to get that GPU on water now. I'm just getting a few bits together and I'll start my build. New to me van and bits I need for that are taking up my spare cash and time at the moment :-(
