Cable braiding tutorial

Those cables look amazing. I've been reading your "Project: TJ uh-oh" thread and I'm amazed at the patience and effort that you've put into the details of your rig.

Quality guide.

Dont' know what to say to you mate but you've got more tempted into braiding my rig for those lovely finish you see on a lot of the builds here!

I cannot seem to gain access to that site MDPC-X you quote, even though I'm trying at the correct time. Any ideas? I was there exactly on time and have tried for 15 mins without success to register, can't even see any product pages.

Nils only sells stuff between certain hours now because of various time constraints. The International site does give times, and it does tend to be open then. So double check and just try again.

As for seeing products, you can preview the products on the German site to decide what you want first.

You'll probably have to rely on Chrome or something to translate, but yeah.

while waiting on my heatshrink and some braiding to arrive I though I'd give it a bash at removing the pins. I've found that removing the male pin to be relatively straightforward but the female pin is a lot more tricky. I do appear to have the tool in properly but its just not closing the 'ears' to allow the pin to be removed

What is it you are trying to remove the pins from? Branded psu cables?extension cables? etc. Every cable I have done if one end is easy the other is too, same with if one is difficult other end is too. What tool are you using to remove the pins? It may be worth very slightly bending the points of the forks inwards so that when they engage one the ears as you call them it pushes them fully into the pin.
