Oooooohh... nice case.

Love mine :) Wish it was as tidy as yours though :(

Thanks, get some pics posted you know you want to :) :p

The board is the wrong way round because its inverted ATX its just how that case is designed :)

from my recent (very first build). I gave up on the cable management - not enough room and the cables are either too short or too long. The plan is to obtain a large case and route the cables better. Still, it does run cool so I must have done something right.
A V1000 is plenty big for tidy cabling. Try running the bulk of your cables up the back side of the 5.25" drive tower like I did.
Check out this thread to see my tidying effort on my V1000.: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17712674

i turned hdd cages around + cut out section for sata cables :D

Billy, or is it Mr Impaler - I see you had the same troubles with motherboard screws as I did. Just not enough room to really get a hand in, and my right hand is pretty much had it - tendon and nerve problems. One of the screws is right in the corner, requiring a two-handed needle nose plier operation to balance the screw in place before going in with a screwdriver.

The main problem is the PSU - even with the support strut (which I think weakens the case when removed) and one hard drive cage taken out, the PSU is still a tight fit. Right up against the remaining drive cage. With the cramped space and the connectors being tight, I had a hell of a job connecting the modular cables. There are two cables smack bang in the middle of the case, necessary to power the graphics card. I can't see a way around it - not without putting strain on the card. Once the card is in place, it blocks the most direct path to the hard drive from the SATA connectors - I had to use the yellow SATA cable that came with the motherboard due to my silver SATA cable being about 1" too short. And then there's the fan wires - too short to route neatly so I've just sort of twisted them out of the way of the blades.

Reversing the drive cage looks a good idea - but the screws to get the cage out are blocked by the motherboard (unless I had 90 degree driver, which I don't have), so that would mean dismantling the whole lot, which gives me nightmares at the thought :D Took two of us to fit the graphics card, and it blocks the white pin to unlock the PCI-E slot.

I'll see what I can do to move cables behind the drive tower - might tidy things a bit. I have some security ties somewhere - big bundle I acquired. Also have a roll of Velcro that might be useful, now I think.

Mine is not too bad, what I done due to my motherboard pretty poor layout was mount it on 2 sets of risers in order to route the IDE/S-ata up and under it.

markyb - out of curiosity, what is that massive heatsink? Looks like a new life form!

How does this work with the I/O plate though?

Good gt, you got a design in done yet? :)
Just trying to decide on something that isn't cheesy! Is v difficult as i'm sure you know!

Curse your cool design - every time i try to think of one i see yours!

I'll send you my design when i actually make up my mind. :(

Cheers mate! :)

Ok, I'm sure you'll come up with something that looks good ;)

Just to annoy you the one I used what the first I thought of and only went through 2 drafts :D

Um - are they not needed? Even without the I/O plate, is there a problem with the connectors at the rear being accessible?

Nope, not needed. Never used one actually they just get in my way.

I can get to all the connectors no problem, it's a close fit but it dos fit fine.
