Cadbury's Wispa

And 20 years later, I would STILL give it to the Cadbury's Caramel Bunny :o

Wispa was one of my favorites, Aeros are just not the same :(

Wispas were a lot smoother although youre still paying money for what is essentially air and less chocolate.

I know there just VERY hard to find and cost 3 times what they where , or even more if you go through the interweb. you do sometimes find a local papershop get em in on a joblot and then never have em again.

sure at services you can get em but its about 10 quid for about 3 quids worth of "penny sweets"

Wilko's sells both refreshers, the refresher chew bars, the strawberry sweets your on about (larger chewy jelly style ones i hope, they're gorgeous) and they also sell midget gems. Wilko's isn't really a hard place to find either... and its cheap ;)

To the wispa lovers, seems it 'may' be making a comback in an attempt to bring nostalgia back to the company.... and obviously rake in more money.

Everybody at work looked at me wierd when I said Aero had won the bubbly chocolate wars becuase I never see Wispas anymore...

Then this thread popped up! :O

I found them very sickly the bog standard wispa was the best.

Its the same with everything really sweet and sickly though, you've got to eat them cold.

Pop a wispa gold in the fridge, gorgeous...

Got this back from Cadbury earlier:

Thanks for your email.

Consumer preferences do change from time to time and as a major manufacturer it is important that Cadbury maintain a wide range of products that are in line with changing consumer demands. For this reason new products are regularly introduced and any line not matching up to expectation is withdrawn. Although Cadbury's Wispa has been discontinued, we do listen to consumers comments so there is a chance you may see it again in the future. In the meantime, we do have a product called Cadbury's Dairy Milk Bubbly, which is very similar in texture and taste to Wispa, which you might like to try.

I hope this has answered your query

I'm sorry, but Cadbury's Dairy Milk Bubbly is absolutely nothing like a Wispa.

It wouldn't be so annoying if the only thing that changed was the name. Oh, I am so angry I could scream.

But I won't.

I almost cried the first time I tasted a "Dairy Milk Bubbly" after I had asked for a Wispa. Wispas used to be my favourite late night (probably drunken) snack from the garage near my exs house :(.

a friend of mine works at cadburys and told us that they have a load of old chocolate bars in cold freeze to keep them good.
last year she produced a bag full of wispas for us - they were nice :D :D

This is the point where you email back saying you would LOVE to try one of these Bubble bars, and could they possibly send a money off coupon for a free/discounted one :D
