Caffeine Is The First DX12 Game To Be Released is On Steam

Nice one, I'll look forward to the 20+ page thread of the results being blown out of proportion by 2-3 people.

Looks like the demo is DX11, Tried in both windowed and full screen, In general it seems like a pre-alpha game.

Interesting - Will the Demo have DX12? Game not getting good reviews.

If they included DX12 in the demo no-one would buy the game so I doubt it'll be added to the demo in the future either.

12 Steam reviews so far: Mostly negative 33% are positive,

sigh, moving on......

Might be look at 43 seconds into vid it had nvidia waveworks :p

Coming in episode 2,

I think we need a definitive way to see whether the game you are running is actually using DX12 but I agree its going to be used as a marketing tool.

Yea true! But it will make the game sell and if you was a dev and made a game, would you?

At least it could be a possible means of testing DX12.

Yeah, and I don't mind about say Ashes of the Singularity mentioning it because it's fundamental in the design of their game. But these others who are just jumping on the bandwagon and not even utilising DX12 to it's full extent are annoying

The game will probably sell well, just because it has DX12.
There were a number of people on this forum that have already said they'll buy a game just for DX12 because they're interested in new tech. Devs no doubt know this and that's probably part of the reason they do it. If you knew adding 1 feature would maske lots of people buy your game so they could try that one feature, wouldn't you do it?

No doubt we'll have a benchmark thread for the game once a version with DX12 is released. Will be interesting to see how that goes.
