Calibra - Steer Clear?

Very much so, i've basically been doing the same thing every day since ive needed a new one. 5 hours browsing the web to no avail. It's a pain!

Been looking at a few alfa 156's within my budget, they look like a good shout for the money, anything to look out for?

cheers

S plate 520i, 112k. Lovely to drive, although i believe a lot of people would say its underpowered? managed to get a fair bit off it and insurance isnt too bad either, sorted :D

Appreciate the fact its slightly underpowered, but being 18 and coming from a fiat seicento i cant **** it off! :p

Its 1998 (S) on 112k, FSH, Every extra other than leather unfortunately :( interior is nice enough without though. 12 months MOT and tax. Paid 2k.

Pick it up at the end of the week :)

Haha, have i paid over the odds?

I would have thought a few subtle mods will be in order, replacing the wheels i'd imagine as they are fairly gash. Might buy myself a leather interior :p

No, just suprised how cheap the early base E39's are getting these days. With a bit of cash you can make it look like far more than a £2k car given that the later E39's still fetch up to £20k (exc M5).

Keep it subtle and try to avoid replica tat :) Might want to go for some Sport bumpers.

in all fairness the car was advertised at 2750. the guy selling it is a good friend of my dads.

Sports bumpers would be great. surely looking at nearly the price of the car for a set sprayed and fitted though?

Negative: "Seller decided not to sell the car after I had won the acution"

?

He won but i got a better offer (my advert says i can withdraw from sale anytime) anyway the better offer didnt materialize. I contacted the ebay winner but he didnt acknowlege my mail and went ahead to leave a negative after he requested an invoice. I have informed ebay already. :)

If he won then you are legally obliged to sell... that's how ebay works mate. If you got a better offer then you should have cancelled the auction straight away.

lol - YOU have informed ebay :D You are the one in the wrong.
