Call for leanience on Members Market rules

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there can be any lenience on the Members Market rules about having 1000 posts on the website.

I would be interested in using this area and have been a member of the website over the 180 day limit but find myself falling short on posts.

I would class myself as an active member within the forum but like in real life I don't pipe up too much so will actively read the information I don't always leave the usual "Thats great buddy" comments on the project logs. (Unless they deserve it :P)

Let me know what you have to say and that :)

edit: I would love members market access so I could sell items from my currently build to by lovely new onces from OcUK :P

C'mon, you've only been here a year and a half. Only another 3 and a half years to go and you'll be where I am. :p

GD is an easy way to bulk up those post counts. It doesnt matter what the thread is even about you just need to remember the rules:

"Mustard" fixes everything
"Poo through someones mailbox" is a solution to every world problem

I disagree. I'm lucky enough to have qualified for MM access before the 1000 post limit and I've used the MM quite a bit. I've been here a while but still havent reached 1000 posts. When I post I try and think about what needs to be said. (I'm not saying all my posts are world-standard contributions. I'm sure theres plenty of crap in there too.)

If those 300 posts are all pure waffle, link-n-run and +1 posts etc. then fine - that wouldn't really be contributing. If each post takes some time, thought or actually helps people then maybe they should have more weight.

I'm not advocating a change of the rules either btw.

That's a fair point but your post content above and the OP's agenda in post #1 are very much at odds.

Although 1000 posts is a lot I think it helps avoid problems on the MM because (1) you're less likely to do something wrong for fear of losing your account on here and (2) if you do decide to scam someone there's 1000 of your old posts people can go through if they're so inclined to try and find identifiable information.

It's sad that that's even a consideration but unfortunately that's the way it is.

OP, since you can't enter the members market let me tell you how amazing it is.

Deals... deals everywhere, and the walls are lined with gold. And there's virgins everywhere begging for your sausage and telling you how toned and good looking you are.

You are missing out.

I can totally understand that, I just wanted to see if there was maybe a way to "verify" who I am which may of gave me access but from this post I can totally understand peoples points of view. Last thing I would want to do is sell a product to a guy who has been a member 8 years but only has 10 posts then realise my money isn't coming...

I never get into the VIP lounge. It just sounds like my life in general :(

MM is a privilege that has to be earned :)

Took me a while because I don't tend to spam post (+mods generally know when someone is spam posting to buff their post count - so I don't advise that you do that ;) )

I also find it strange that someone would sign up to a computer forum knowng the rules then as a newish user petition to get them changed........

Did you not use the search function? lol :p
