Call of Duty: Black Ops

MCV have 'leaked' some minor info about a 'premium' multiplayer service in black ops.

I would be sceptical but these guys have been spot on with all their leaks previous - the PSPGO, new 360, move etc etc.

Not this **** again.

I would expect it to go the way of VIP BC2 access, they supply a code with the game when bought new, and people who buy second hand need to pay extra to get access.

If it's anything like paying £x to access multiplayer per month I will not buy this game.

Paying for map DLC is something I can just about stomach.

Considering the story a month or so ago, that they said there would be no charge for multiplayer in Black Ops it looks likely that they may go with the code with the initial new purchase, anything else will damage them before the game is even released.

Think MW2 dedicated servers all over again.

I really like the look of that, all the perks and stuff adds something to the game for me so I hope they keep them.

Commando + Lightweight = awesome.

lol CS players have been whinging that CS is a spray and pray until the guy dies bull**** game since CS 1.0.

Not to turn this into a CS/CSS thread but it depends how you play, either by actually aiming for the head and only shooting when your aim is locked on (as I do) or crouch+spray ;// Too many modern day "pro's" use the latter method.

I call BS on that article already. Simply because it says that Halo Reach will charge for a premium service - there's no way that'll happen as it's released by MS.

It's doesn't say Microsoft Games Studios will charge for Halo Reach, it's just an analyst's opinion that they 'could' (assuming map packs are a given, if not already announced).

I agree it's more unlikely than Activision wanting a subscription revenue/greater online revenue from COD.

Just seen the Prestige edition. It contains a remote control car with with a camera and mic that sends the images/sound back to the controller. £129.99

For the Prestige Edition, Treyarch and Activision created an entirely original remote controlled surveillance vehicle inspired by the RC-XD from Black Ops Multiplayer. With a range of up to 200 feet, the RC-XD Surveillance Vehicle has a fully-functioning remote camera that transmits both TFT color video and audio to its operator.

The Prestige Edition is inclusive of the Hardened Edition, which includes a custom Black Ops limited edition medal, exclusive Black Ops Avatar outfit, as well as four playable cooperative maps.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Prestige Editions and Hardened Editions will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system when Call of Duty: Black Ops opens worldwide on November 9th, 2010. As it says "not included" do you think the extra co-op missions will be available to download (for a price) if you buy the normal version? I just want the extra missions not the other crap.

Had to get the prestige edition this time round, wasn't fussed about the NV Goggles last time but who wouldn't want that Remote Control Car :D

November is going to be very expensive, already £180 spent just on Black Ops and GT5
