** Call of duty ghosts (MW4) **

Played it for myself.

Graphics are fine.

Performance is awful and it needs a patch.

Online is laggy and the game stutters a lot, mostly it's when you're in a fire fight. Which means the stuttering is the main reason you die.

Even the menus are laggy and stutter.

I also get the sound drop outs during video sequences during SP.

Disabled Steam overlay, turned off Playclaw and tried lower graphics settings to no avail.

I'd pretty much agree with all of that. Once you've tweaked the advanced options the graphics aren't all that bad, not that amazing either but not awful.

The main issue, like I demonstrated in my video above, is the stutter. As quoted above it even stutters and seems to lag out in the menus!

Eek, these download sizes are getting ridiculous, they need to find a better way to compress the data and then unlock before Steam installs. The games are only going to get bigger, Disk wise, BluRay will have to come standard for PC games on disk surely?

It wouldn't of been so bad if I could have played the single player as that is downloaded but it doesn't play with the MP stuff.

It seems like it's not a great loss mind but I wanted to get as much playtime in before my One arrived...with Ghosts.

Really wish I hadn't spent £30 on it mind. Silly thing to do.

£30 well spent imho. I know this game is being criticized, I've got to be honest though, it's a beauty, some stunning graphics, gameplay wise it's the same as the other shooters. Really enjoying it so far, my boys have now stolen my PC lol, so I'm hoping I get a chance to play it properly later on :p

Some 1440P Screen Captures:

Zoom out the browser, to see them better..

worse than trying to play blops on release without a quadcore??

How can they get these PC releases so wrong EVERYTIME....

Im glad im in Sweden with a mediocre gaming laptop or i would have wasted 40 quid and waited a month for a playable PC game.

Unfortunately it plays pretty much as it appears in the video. Jerky, laggy, stuttery and any other words you can think of to describe crap performance.

Looks like an old old bug that affects certain hardware combinations (something to do with IRQs IIRC) not much you can do if it is that old bug - stand still and you get good framerates but moving it drops to low stutter fps the moment you stop moving it jumps back up again.

There used to be a load of posts about it from COD4, etc. but the only one I can find off the top of my head is an old one of mine http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11125058&postcount=9

If it is the old bug I think it is it will run smoothly for most people but a small but not insignificant number of people will have a reproducible problem with the framerate as per the description above in my post.

With a NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card, PC gamers benefit massively from improved assets, resolutions and textures and exclusive technologies including NVIDIA HBAO+ Ambient Occlusion, NVIDIA TXAA temporal anti-aliasing, NVIDIA GPU-accelerated animal fur, and NVIDIA GPU-accelerated PhysX effects.

How's the GPU-accelerated animal fur?

Looks and plays fine for me at 1440p.

So thye loadout page replaces the create a class. From the looks of it all the weopons are unlocked from the start you just have to buy them using tokens.

Glad to see the support killstreak rewards back but the rewards are a bit naff compard to the assault rewards.

What OS?

Our systems aren't too dissimilar and we're both playing at 1440p but mines far from fine.

Windows 8.1. Couldn't tell you what FPS im getting as afterburner dosent seem to want to display like it does in other games. Its very smooth though, but ive only tried 8 player free for all as of yet.

I think I read that crossfire is broken, have you tried it with just one card enabled?
