Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022)

Is anyone playing the beta this weekend?

After watching videos from both MW and Warzone 2.0 I am getting a bit excited by it, which hasn't happened for years from this franchise. Shame no mention of ditching SBMM mind.
 
I watched XclusiveAce's first impression video.
The good: Maps are decent and nice and colourful. Gunplay is excellent. You can now pick between killstreks or scorestreaks.
Bad: Footsteps are super loud and there's no Dead Silence or Ninja as a perk. Dead Silence is still a field upgrade :confused: You can't cancel reloads now. You still can't see red dots on mini map when somebody shoots.

Perks work differently: You choose 2 to start with and then a further 2 which activate as you play a match; earning score activates them quicker. Could be good or really bad.

You can't slide cancel any more so all the sweats that slide around the map will be moaning about that :cry:

You can dolphin dive through windows which should be fun.
 
On Playstation its out now apparently if you have pre ordered.

I watched a lot of Warzone last night, I liked the new map the movement looks a lot slower there now no slide cancelling and the loot boxing looks abit more layered then before.

Anyone playing the open beta? If so how’re you finding it? From the videos I’ve seen it looks great, so long as the reception to the beta is good I’ll be grabbing this day 1.

I'm enjoying it but also struggling a bit, but that's more because I'm not used to using a Playstation pad, it feels very alien to me. It's crashed a few times and I think the main menu is a bit confusing to use but the actual game I'm enjoying. The Mercardo map is a bit rubbish imo, but Farm 18, the hotel and museum maps were enjoyable.
 
Had a play of a few games just seems the same as every other cod tbh run around get killed run around some more die. Lots of screaming kids coming out the controller.

I've been enjoying it. Yes footsteps are far too loud which means you can't rush as much. This just means you have to be a bit more careful when moving around. I've only had a couple of games where the connection seemed a bit dodgy.

After a few games I’m happy just not to bother. It’s the same as every other one not my cup of tea. I like the single player bit but will wait until it’s on game pass for that….
 
I've played some of this on the PS5 this morning, it plays like most other COD games (MW2019 was my favourite since the original MW). I'll probably pick it up from Brazil or somewhere else cheap digitally on Xbox as i much prefer the Xbox controller.
Turning controller sensitivity up to my normal 7/7 and FOV to 95 made it very playable.

I think i've got to about level 7 so far, i've almost unlocked the MP5. (19/20 on the Lachmann 556)
