If you're running NZXT CAM software then shut it down before starting the game. Works for me.......must be to do with the recent Cam update.

Weirdly, had nothing to do with CAM as I've had that issue a while back. Tried everything and eventually got it to work by installing the latest nvidia drivers. It crashed midway through a game with a 6036 though. Never once had a MW crash until tonight
 
Had about 30 games today, mix of trio plunder, BR quad, BR trio, BR solo, cyberattack, search & destroy, domination, hardpoint and gunfight. No issues at all.
Maybe i'm just one of the lucky ones
 
Oh man, the game was working fine for a couple of weeks and I've been really enjoying Warzone but for some reason tonight the crashes to desktop are back! :confused::(

I tried BR Solo 4x and crashed to desktop within 2-5 minutes each and every time.

Nothing has changed on my PC, I have nothing running in the background either.

Now I can't play again! I just don't get this, I thought this problem had gone but now it's back!
 
So i have given in and tried this game over the last few days (warzone of course).

I appreciate the way the game runs and looks is great. However, that's about where the positives end.

I know this is a mass market appeal game, very friendly to people that have little fps exp - but good god, how do people actually play these type of games?

When did FPS gams become completely unrealistic and like an arcade game?

I will give it another go to avoid the poor pubg game code, but how this is so popular is crrraazzzyyyy :)

Unrealistic, how? Yes, its an arcade FPS game we know its not going to be Squad or Arma but its still quite realistic.

Hardcore mode search and destroy is great fun. 1 shot, 1 kill and your out. Can't get much more unrealistic really without making it slower paced, and less fun

I swear it's not the game that's not working, just something lacking / running thats breaking it for some people. Certainly not "millions" like one of the comments on that page :D
If it was then it wouldnt work for anyone. If a program is created that is broke, it will be broke for everyone!

Come to think of it, after about week of owning COD MW, I needed points 8 and 9 as was missing some C++ redistribution package and the Origin Client service was screwing the game up. I disabed all startup items and it worked fine after

It's probably exactly that - the speed.

It seems that people can quite happily just run everywhere, running and gunning, firing whilst going prone, rewarding play time with level ups on weapons which make the weapon more accurate, vehicles seem to go over everything and anything, planes - UAV - self revives - have I missed anything? :D

Bring back a real FPS game that requires some decent skill and ability to move and aim! Unfortunately though, might be considered too hard and would never be picked up mainstream.

Try hardcore mode. Much better as team kills are on, no hud and reduced hit damage.
Firing whilst going prone you are static. Rewards and leveling up is just part of the game. I thought I would hate it but unlocking weapon attachments is actually really fun as one attachment can change a weapon completely (for better or worse)
Vehicles can be taken out easily with an RPG or C4

Quake live with the railgun this game is not, but that gets boring after a while.
Way more fun using things like snapshot grenades to find campers, heartbeat sensors to detect people, thermite to block and defend aswell as taking out people with riot shields. Sniping from helicopters whilst trying to avoid RPG, teaming up with people on PC / PS4 / Xbox, driving vehicles quickly, skydiving into airports, the list is quite big but it's this list is what makes it extremely fun, long lasting and also rather (very) popular.

IMO the greatest game ever make. Big statement and this is coming from someone who hate's anything after COD 1 & 2 (original COD 1 & 2)
 
I tried playing hardcore today.

It was the only game type in my filter (hardcore tdm). Something must have been wrong though because every lobby I had a mini map, a compass, a hud and it wasn't 1 shot 1 kill like I keep reading about.

I also noted the orange radio button on the server filter system would simply not allow me to select hardcore - it remained on core. So I selected core TDM then hardcore tdm. On my filter when joining lobbies the only game type icon showing was hardcore tdm. But it wasn't hardcore.......?
 
Strange, i jsut got to hardcore and press R to select it, then choose from one or more hardcore game types then quick search. There has never been a hud, mini map etc. when special abilities like ghost and kills streak are available you will see a white dot / square /triangle in the lower right corner of the screen

I wasn't pressing R. I will check later - looks like I have been doing it wrong! Lol.
