This is the first game one I've tried where my GPU has struggled this badly!
To be fair, I don't think it is optimised very well at all. My Vega 56 only averages about 95-100FPS with reduced settings at 1440P.

Recommended settings for 1080p@60fps is a GTX 970 / GTX 1660 and i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X

Drop it down to 1080p and see if your 980 does ~60fps. 40 seems about right for 1440p going by the above
It probably is TBH. It's just that it's not really holding a steady 40 FPS and frequently drops so it's a pretty bad experience I'm afraid. I can drop the res to 1080p but that looks like gargbage on my 1440p monitor.
I think it's perhaps the lack of VRAM that's the issue as most games seem to target a GTX 1060 minimum these days and that has 6GB compared to my 980 which only has 4Gb.
Back to playing it on console!

My brother had a lot of them before with an RX590, he had to gimp the card to make it work. He ended up returning it for a RX580 and has been trouble free since.

Is anyone experiencing Stutter and generally not smooth gameplay lately in Warzone using AMD cards?
My fps is well over 120 Fps,latency around 45..yet it just doesn't feel smooth especially when you get into close combat with someone the stutter has got me killed on a few occasions because the player is no longer where I'm firing when the stutter occurs.

Finished the battle pass so that’s me done for a while.
Love the game but hate the grind, probably not gonna bother with the season 6 battle pass and after playing the Cold War alpha I’m probably gonna be done with CoD. It’s no fun anymore you can’t just chill out and play.
Might just stick to MW2019 and enjoy ground war and playing Warzone in and off.

Yeah I finished it the other day too, That battlepass felt like it took forever to finish.
yeah levels 80-100 really seemed to take forever!
I got a 10 level boost as a free gift from the store. Did anyone else get this in Season 5?
I dont even know what level im on, 155 rank but unsure about battlepass.
At the moment im still enjoying making random custom weapons (some which are aweful, some great) then using them on shoot the ship

Is this 6068 error specific to the GPU? I have been getting a few of these errors lately and have been trying to diagnose the problem.
I’ve had one when i upgraded my nvidia drivers and windows to 2004 from 1909.
Went back to older drivers and 1909 and no more 6068 error.
Think windows 2004 has (or did have) an issue with dx12
Today I update Nvidia drivers and haven't had any 6068 issues yet
Maybe depends on system / gpu. The last i tried the game seemed smoother and better fps but would then sort of stutter / slow down for a few seconds even though fps didnt appear to drop going by monitoring.
Almost like gpu was overworking then having a break then catching up again. Rinse and repeat ever 30 seconds or so
I must say, performance in MW on my i5 8500, 16GB and RTX 2060 seems to be a roll of the dice with every game update, driver update and windows update.
No problems for me with game updates, only when i start changing things.
i7 4790k, 16GB, RTX2080ti. Win 10 1909 and Nvidia driver 445.87
