Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

re: An Intel I7 4790K with an NVidia 1070. And would upgrading to a 4070 be worthwhile?

Interesting... At 720x480 the frame rate was generally only a little higher, still averaging around say 60-70fps... BUT it did strangely feel more responsive and smoother!? Not sure if that's simply down to be it being blurry :)

Obviously the GPU was far less used than the 90+% of 1440p, I recon down at 30% or so.

If upgrading from a 1070 to a 4070 could give me better quality visuals (rather than min), at 75fps, and have that "smooth" feel, then I'd be happy. The alternative is to do what a friend has done, and go PS5 (for less than the price of a 4070) :(

Your entire rig is ready for retirement tbh. I do find myself playing games more and more on the big TV and the Xbox these days. The Series X plays supported games at 120hz no problem on a 1440p monitor.

What's interesting is how when playing the GPU is at nigh on 100%, and the CPU is not.

You'd think upgrading to a 4070 (from my 1070) would at least add a good lump of smoothness to the outcome, and allow me to ramp up graphical options while sitting at my VSYNC of 75fps.

2019 was great - and Black Ops Cold War was also a lot of fun.

Vanguard was awful and MW2 has been arguably the worst COD multiplayer game I've ever played.
Even worse than Vanguard?
I didn't get much of a chance to play MW3 beta. I think I managed one game and even then I was pretty boozy so I don't even recall what map I played.

They were both pretty terrible. I played more MW2 than Vanguard as I think I was 'forcing' myself to enjoy it but it really was a terrible multiplayer COD game.

Doesn't VSYNC cause very high input lag?

Call of Duty HQ is one of the messiest and most stupid things they've decided to do in a long time.

Why can't I just install MW3 as a completely new game? Why am I having to install the base MW2 game to then get to MW3 - to then separately install campaign packs??

Can't load the 2nd mission on the new campaign , anyone else having this issue with the bar just getting stuck ?

Nope im playing on veteran got to be worst AI I have seen what have they programmed the AI is terrible compared to Cod of past dosnt even feel like veteran sometimes.

On a positive I love all the Warzone kind of stuff added to singleplayer so crates of loot, armour, etc and the missions you can do them how you want to a point which is good.

Yeah i am playing on veteran as well and have noticed how the AI seem extremely dumb as i was just ploughing through them where as MW2 campaign was almost a 1 shot kill from ai on veteran and they were nearly always on point with their shots ... I think the game does look very nice though and story was heating up quickly so was eager to push on as was left on a bit of a cliff-hanger but seems i have to tune in next week fore mission 2

yup same for me, im reinstalling now and updating everything
let us know if that helps , few people on the COD fb group are reporting the same thing so seems pretty wide spread and probably requires an update to sort it for all

I have preordered MW3 on Steam and have it installed and updated. Yet when I launch it and select the campaign early access
it's showing me options to purchase a game I already own. How do I start the MW3 campaign?
