Guess I'm reinstalling for a bit
Just had a few banging games, just like the good old days!
Obviously the game is still being ironed out, bugs fixed etc
Guess I'm reinstalling for a bit
You honestly can. I track people round the gulag hard scoped all the time. Once you have your sights centered on where the footsteps are coming from its pretty easy to track the position.Yeh but not with a scope locked on to your head through every room and stairway
I play DayZ so I know perfectly well about listening to people in a building and such
Had a round earlier on the Pro, what sort of magic have the devs managed where the low lag mode feels more responsive and smoother than 200+ fps on PC?!
Yeah same for me. I play mouse and keyboard for all my PC fps games (The Finals, BF & OW2) but COD has just always felt like a controller game to me.Dunno, I was playing on the 120fps mode and I read an article where the developer said to use the unlocked 60 fps mode as the lag was much better. It made a big difference. Something to do predictable CPU processes being done before actually needed in that mode.
Works though. Fps drops to 100 or so but feels very snappy. No dirty pc cheating peasants either with their 2000hz mice and massive gaming desks whinging about aim assist.
I'm also a dirty pc peasant when I want to be.
Just had the WORST graphical glitch I have ever seen in a game!
I was flying towards the superstore, then the screen did this mad white flash with black triangles.. It was so bad, I had to force quit as it made me physically sick.
I know others have had NO issues with the game, but I've not had ANY graphical problems with games for a very long time, if not years!
I agree. I just wondre why certain things are not open though, like train station and the odd room in places like storage town. Maybe to balance certain areas or something that people highlighted in the past.Got a couple of hours in last night after downloading the updates, once shaders loaded I played and to be honest it never missed a beat (i7 8700, 32gb ram, 2080ti 11gb) I had forgotten just how nice it was to have all the little things, floating pickups, shooting while parachuting down etc ..and the map is still their best yet.
I like alertness over ghost, you get a warning when someone near.I agree. I just wondre why certain things are not open though, like train station and the odd room in places like storage town. Maybe to balance certain areas or something that people highlighted in the past.
Loving it, had some great solos games earlier. Farm, storage town and boneyard. The tension is back, having to really loot for money, plates and better ground loot in general.
Do you risk going for a safe or is some greasy toad watching it with a sniper? I didnt, found a recon drone and there was… i’ve had to change my loadout to ghost and hr scanners, uavs, supressors and positioning is now important again!
I hope they dont make huge changes to how it is now. Maybe open bunkers at some point and that thing that makes everyones skins look like real people/operators instead of a terminator or turtle.
Yeh, high alert was always a great perk. Hard to choose now as it's way more tactical with much needed UAVs, recon, scanners and checking the mini map.I like alertness over ghost, you get a warning when someone near.
You cant play verdansk on console only yet its only for ranked which is coming at a later date. But holy **** that anti lag mode is bloody awesome feels better than my pc lol im gonna switch over to the pro. With a good set of headphones you can track people through walls.
Any hoo Ps5 pro low lag mode and console only servers is where it's at
Anti lag mode? Is this a PS5 thing? You cant play verdansk on console only yet its only for ranked which is coming at a later date. But holy **** that anti lag mode is bloody awesome feels better than my pc lol im gonna switch over to the pro.
Anti-lag is a PS5 Pro mode, DF did a really good video on it but it's essentially using a combination of VRR and an available API to surface the next frame as soon as possible. It feels really responsive and almost 'snappier' than on PC.Anti lag mode? Is this a PS5 thing?
Cant play Verdansk on console? My mates have been playing (PS5)
I seem to have minimal lag playing on PC (5800X3D, 4090, 4k 240hz monitor)
I run a mix of low, med & high graphics settings in 4k and get usually 130 - 224fps, fps cap at 224.
Console only option for pubs now as well. It's in settings. You cant play verdansk on console only yet its only for ranked which is coming at a later date. But holy **** that anti lag mode is bloody awesome feels better than my pc lol im gonna switch over to the pro.
can only see that option for multiplayer not Warzone, only ranked console onlyConsole only option for pubs now as well. It's in settings.
If it feels like it has lower latency than PC then you most likely have something configured incorrectly on PC. I measured the latency on PC (144 Hz) and a PS5 in 120 Hz mode by recording a 240 fps video on my phone and counting the number of frames between pressing the trigger and getting a muzzle flash on screen. On PC the lowest latency was 4 frames (16.6 ms) and on a PS5 the lowest latency was 7 frames (29.1 ms). Unfortunately I don't have a PS5 Pro to test the anti-lag mode but I doubt it will be lower than PC.Anti-lag is a PS5 Pro mode, DF did a really good video on it but it's essentially using a combination of VRR and an available API to surface the next frame as soon as possible. Verdansk on 'console only' - i.e. with crossplay off, not as in they can't play at all.
I might have miss read it appears. My lobbies seemed very difficult yesterday compared to launch.can only see that option for multiplayer not Warzone, only ranked console only
The lowest latency on PS5 Pro in the VRR anti lag mode is 9.7ms. It’s worth watching Digital Foundry’s video on it as it explains it in more detail - but it’s hard to explain how good it feels. If it feels like it has lower latency than PC then you most likely have something configured incorrectly on PC.
