I'll be getting this; I loved the first one (although I preferred the 'priest' levels to the stealth guy ones). It was probably the first game ever where you could read verses from the bible with your right mouse button while shooting people in the face with the left.

I was about to say that I'm probably biased because I love westerns, but coming to think of it I thought 'Gun' was terrible and Red Dead Revolver wasn't anywhere near as good as CoJ either. In fact the only other decent western game I remember is Oddworld: Stranger, which really can't even count as a fully fledged western game.

You might be able to tell me the name of that other recentish western game. It was an FPS, but with a supernatural, demonic twist. Can't for the life of me remember what it was called... It was pretty pants apparently, but my lack of recollection is annoying me

not sure about this, it looks okay but its a toss up between this and Anno 1404 which i think the latter will be tons more value!

those screenshots are from where ? the game isnt out ?

This game is short. Anno 1404 will last much longer.

yep but i really liked the first one, the setting and the story worked so well .. i just had a feeling this would be more akin to a console game if that makes any sense ie .. dumbed down and short

still £17 is not bad and it doesnt have that Tages bullshiz Anno currently includes ..

I played the demo of the first and didn't think much of it. May have to try this out, perhaps give it another chance.

Hmm the only one I can think of is Damnation, which I believe is set in the civil war but mixed with sci-fi/fantasy elements. I never got that though, from what I read it was really bad. I'm not totally sure if this is the one you mean though because it's a third-person game I think.

My bad, sorry, it wasn't released on PC in the end - just Xbox and PS2

Darkwatch was the one I was thinking of.

i really need to play the first one

i got stuck in a corner after about 10 mins play.. they were chasing me out of the town, I ran into a corner, and couldn't get out :confused:

then i just returned to TF2

bledd you need to run behind the buildings on the right and through the gap in the fence to the grass and trees then down some hills. Just peg it! The game is pretty easy really beyond that. Some of the highlights I thought were towards the end, and there's an epic climb up a mountain to get a feather!

bit tech have done a review, they have given it 8/10 and seems like a good play from what they've written. There's also potential for a DLC too, I think that was mentioned.

Has anyone got to the bit where you can choose what to do like buy weapons, do little side missions or continue the story?

I've chosen the wanted poster for killing Ramon or whatever his name is. Trouble is that i get to his hide out, blow the gate and then im stuck. None of the doors open to let me in the building and the little star that shows where to go just points to a random spot in front of a well. I've been running around for ages trying to figure out how get in the building and kill ramon and his gang.

[Edit] Nevermind, i found the door that isn't locked.
