Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood

just started playing, it works much like cod games, pushing you down a path and route of things you need to do, i prefer i bit more free play in games. graphics are very good and the fact it's diffirent for all these world war shooters makes it fun. Had a quick game online and did not really know what im doing but enjoyed it for a short while! will try and compleate the game

Is it good online then? Doesn't seem to be much action in this thread :(

Its pretty fun even though it doesnt appear so on the surface to some people.

Plus there are a few bugs which have to be ironed out. Sometimes connection issues joining servers but that is mostly down to there not being dedicated servers yet.

But it is early days and DLC will be available in forms of packs in the future. :)

i'm having trouble duelling, on the 3rd duel now the one at the end of the mining mission. did it as the dude with younger brother who is not so good on the pistols and now can't win the duel, anyone got any tips, find them frustrating.... am i doing it wrong?

i have a laser mouse and it is fine in game, i can often draw the gun but then the crosshair is way off and by that time i'm dead... find it very frustrating

The multiplayer is really annoying me. Virtually impossible to get a good game! Can't believe they don't have any dedicated servers.

I don't mind hosting one later, it will be under the name Blackhawk and there shouldn't be any issues.

Dualing worked fine for me even though i did die a few times and I don't think it is dependent on which character you choose. I guess you could try increasing the sensitivity of the mouse in the options if your having difficulty. But i never found it difficult as such, just not quick enough. ;)

Move side to side with your opposition then.

If you keep him central then the crosshair goes straight up the middle of the person person your duelling.

Not hard really...

Brought the game today. And enjoying most of it so far.
Game seams a bit glitchy thou. Dunno if its my video card or oldish drivers(gtx 260) full detail.
Really hate the gun drawing parts. So hit or miss.

Haven't encountered any real bad glitches throughout the game myself and thats on a 8800gts so I doubt it is video card related. Yeah do the usual update Direct X and Nvidia drivers etc. :)

The one thing i want is a Free Roam say, level or map or even one for each town, where you can go about and do a bit of role playing, go to the gun shot and get missions/jobs to do like you do already except you only get 3 missions per...chapter intervals (i guess you could call it that) and those should be random. It would just add a bit more gameplay to COJ. Perhaps earning money and buying a business or become and outlaw drifting from one town to another. The possibilities are endless and the wild west setting would really set it apart from other games. *sign*

Finished the game last night. Loved the graphics in the game however the voice acting was a bit naff and their mouths look stupid sometimes. Gameplay felt pretty solid throughout but felt the duel function of the game was more suited for xbox :(. A very surprisingly good game, if a little bit short, but the graphics made up for that i felt.

Same view here, visually good but the game lacks any freedom & it locks you into set pieces such as dueling that you have to complete & you cannot bypass or play differently as you cannot actually move yourself & are locked in position, how much better it would be if you could face your opponent at opposite ends of the street & walk towards each other & draw & shoot freehand

yeah for sure, so much they can take on board, like i the whole horse hiding thing, quite cool how that works, great game but yeah more freedom is needed!

Yeah, i loved horse riding too. Best thing is that it is featured in one of the Wild West Legends maps but I cant remember which. It's great though how you can get a group of players to ride into town from the outer skirts of town on the horses. While the other team is defending. Its brilliant.

Also I wish they would and they might (DLC?) add COOP into the game. It would be like a whole other game on COOP.
