calling all LOTRO players

I played LOTRO for a month or two when it went live and then quit. Reading about some DX10 features last night, I thought I'd reload it and give it another look. My problem is, I can't seem to find my account!
Have turbine taken over looking after the accounts? Or was it always them? (I can't recall). When I tried logging in, it doesn't like my details, and using the password resend thingy it's 12+ hours later and still no password.
is there a chance my account got deleted?

Theres a chance :p I'll double check when I get home, hopefully the 13000+ files (seriously) needing to be downloaded to patch up to current version will be done by then too.
 
Hope you manage to get in - a lot of the DX10 effects are very subtle, but the tree shadows in particular look amazing now - every leaf is shadowed, and the shadows move as the branches sway. Makes you want to whip out a picnic :D

The box I bought had 2 keys in and a trial key, so if I can't find my old account I can set up a new one. Don't want to do that though as I had a high level warg for PvP :D.
I'm looking forward to playing it again, it used to look great dx9, but there was a bug with 8800gtx and vista 64 when I last played which would give random crashes with high settings (this is supposedly fixed now).
 
Downloading now as I'm interested in some casual play in an immersive environment - ontop of this I love all things LOTR so I'm thinking I might well enjoy this :)

In 8 days when all the downloads have finished (:p) I'll message some of you for some much needed ingame advice :D

I played WoW a few years ago for a short while but got fedup with all the kids running around- I hope to chat to some fellow OCUK'ers ingame :)
 
I have a lifetime subs, but simply don't have the time to level in this game, takes ages and as I can't play for long I can't really group ! I loved the game but .. friends left and it died for me :(
 
Would you consider/ Can you sell your lifetime subscription?? If your interested in chat about such things at all - my email is in trust ;)

i canc'd my AoC sub and installed Lotro again, tis great to be back if im honest.. although i dont play PvE .. was very suprised to see the Ettenmoors was a busy as ever on Laurelin and a lot of r6-r8 creep mates also rejoined after being dissapointed with AoC .. still a great game and great community

I'm about to do the same, AoC might be good one day but at the mo it's like people are paying to be in a beta.

There's no real PvP as such, there is PvM, the wiki's are the best place to read about it as it's a bit complicated to explain here with the time i've got (At work at the mo. :( )

in short :-

basically its map with keeps, players known as 'Free People' can bring their lvl 40+ PvE chars into the battlefield and fight against player created monsters 'Creeps' ...

Creeps gain 'Infamy' with every freep they kill which goes towards their 'rank' which opens up new skills/attacks/traits

its not everyones cup-of-tea but playing a 'creep' in a raid is a lot of fun if you can get past the rooting/mezzing/stunning but you can counter them

if anyone fancies some creep play hit the Laurelin server, level a freep to 10 and then hit the red monster button and feel free to join me
 
Ohh im guessing you all play lotro europe? I just started downloading the .com one but i cant find a europe trail?
