Can anyone recommend me a carpet cleaner/vacuum??

I've been looking for a fairly lightweight vacuum cleaner and having a small child I thought it might be a good idea to go for one that also cleans/washes the carpet!

A deal caught my eye for a Vax V-026RD Rapide Deluxe Upright Carpet and Upholstery Washer but I've no idea if it's any good!

Has anyone got any recommendations??

I'm guessing you want to keep the child? So, get rid of the carpets. 3 kids and two old cats, its the best thing I ever did.
