It could be a temporary fault. If not your landlord (assuming it’s in his name) will need to sort it out with Sky.
Was it ever demonstrated as working? If there was a setup guide with the equipment it would be worth checking that any instructions have been followed correctly.
You mentioned that you’d reset the router. Depending what you mean by resetting and how Sky handles router configurations you may have wiped the information it needs to successfully connect.
