I hate to disagree with Arthur C Clarke on this one but it seems to me that it's pretty obvious that "intelligence" is detrimental to survival. Humans have just enough intelligence to kill everything around them, including themselves.

It was staged. He was meant to jump on the bonnet but slipped when he went to jump. Oil on the road or something. Still stupid!

You either bounce or go under and its usually a bus or lorry you go under.

Cars you bounce off. Why did he dive into the car? Why did he not jump? Too many questions to allow the validity of that video.
