Can i have raid without loosing my current install?

First of all i want two hdds is raid 0 and then anoter drive mirroring those in raid 1 so 0 +1 i believe. Can i do thia without loosing my current install? And what size mirror hdd will i need if i have two 250s in speed? Another 250 or 500?

To do RAID 0+1 (or 10 depending on which your controller supports) you need 4 identical disks. It's not possible to do what you describe with a normal RAID setup.

Moving from a single disk to a RAID array without reinstalling is possible but it's a bit of a pain making sure the drivers are correct then imaging and restoring the original install. It's far easier just to do a fresh install.
