Its easiest to disconnect it for now and just use the SSD whilst installing Vista. Once installed, re-connect the old drive and you'll be able to access the data on there. If you have a lot of data on the old drive or no separate partition for Windows, you can just delete the old Windows folders, Program Files etc. If you do have a partition for Windows, just format that partition (after copying anything from My Documents and things of course).Hi
So when i get my ssd i just plug it in install vista 64 and thats it what about my 320g hdd do i need to do anything to that like a format to it before i install the ssd.
