Can someone explain the PvP rules on a PvE server

On the topic of the pvp flags, I can say it has happened to me a few times now also. For example, my nightelf hunter was engaged with a bear outside ashenvale when 3 horde turned up and wiped me out in a few seconds. PvP was definatly disabled, my pet was off attackin the bear so it couldnt have perhaps attacked the horde players.

Another strange one was an undead mage that was running about darkshore with pvp enabled, I attacked him which turned on my pvp, he then hit me with his polymorph spell and while i was in sheep form he somehow managed to diasble his pvp so i couldn't do anything

wow is the biggest grind model out there. Be it pvp or pve. The whole game is gear based. Eve (I havnt played at length) isnt gear based.

Er, ok. One of the first tutorial missions in Eve makes you spend a long time mining asteroids. I don't think you've even played both games all that much. Eve requires far more grinding. In fact, I particularly remember one OCuK poster's message that he taught his 5 year old daughter to mine asteroids while he was away at work.

yeah that was the tutorial about 3 years ago
much better now.
think you spend all of about 60 seconds mining.
