Can someone give me a price check and also ST220 help required

they do produce 400nm torque (295 ft lb)

as ive just posted above, the full 295 lb ft is only available briefly as an overboost feature on harsh acceleration. They are quoted at 265 lb ft.

that is also a great + to the tdci over the 220.Easy power increases, with almost zero decernable fuel economy drop.A simple remap with rail pressure upped, boost upped accordingly and combustion timings tweaked is all it takes.

The dual mass flywheel may spit out its dummy but the solid flywheel and clutch setup from the tranny will cure this and lower the 0-60 times as well, how do i know because i have physically done it!!

so you post factual inaccuracies, while passing yourself off as a "master technician"

when you're shotdown you then try and change your tune to " well they can be tuned well"

c'mon. Not exactly a great enterance to motors is it ?

It would be nice to receive critisism from other ford dealer master technicians! not mis informed internet surfers and those who still beleive that diesel engines are still in the dark ages as opposed to cutting edge combustion technology that they are now.

Sounds like you've described yourself rather than anyone who's challenged your ridiculous assertion that the TDCi is faster than the petrol ST220.

You are not doing the reputation of Ford dealer 'master' technicians any favours.

not mis informed internet surfers and those who still beleive that diesel engines are still in the dark ages as opposed to cutting edge combustion technology that they are now.

Misinformed? I nearly bought an ST220 and I spend lots of time driving a 530d - to say I 'believe that diesel engines are in the dark ages' is completely rubbish.

To [tw]fox the st tdci was the quickest accelerating st before the focus with a 0-60 of 7.9 secs official but at the ford 'blue' test days this was greatly reduced by as much as .5 of a second by the test driver!

You are wrong, it really is that simple. Even if we take your highly dubious 0-60 claim at face value the ST220 is STILL quicker. It is a noticeably faster car than the ST220. I have driven both.

power means nothing, that is the reply of someone who is again mis informed

like yourself?

yes 155 bhp is less than the 226 official of the mondeo but the 400+ ft pounds of torque is what makes the differance!

I worry that you actually recieve money for being a 'master' at Ford. 400lb/ft? Try 400Nm.

and to willd58,why would i lie

You are not a liar, you are just horribly misinformed.

Thank you very much, bit lower than what i thought but oh well. Stupid reject car

i should get more from selling privately, what sort of values do you think i would be looking at?

lol never even noticed that. doesnt know the difference between lb ft and NM and claims to be a "master technician" ? hmm..

power means nothing

this sentence is fundamentally wrong!

We are talking about shifting huge weights to 62mph, how can power be nothing? especially when theres ~70bhp difference? I'm about to start employment in said company, and the knowledge you have displayed shows either you are a total liar about being a 'Ford Master Technician' or just are damaging the reputation of the company.

So if someone accuses you of being a liar, your natural reaction is to post incorrect performance figures to backup your failing arguement

I would have thought you'd get quite a bit more privately, recent mums and familys seem to love this car (from what i've seen anyway!)

you are quite right, shifting 'HUGE weights'...take trucks, plane tugs..etc etc.massive torque, comparatively low bhp compared to the torque.

torque is what gives the everyday power you need, and as the tdci engine only has 155bhp shows that the torque can still pull this huge weight to 60mph in the official 0-60 time.

do you know what 'POWER' is?

Ninja edit - I.E., Power does not directly equal BHP

but the 0-60 figures are still much quicker for the ST220

keep bleating on, you've been prooved wrong, and no ammount of dodgy website links you post will proove you right.

i work in pounds not newton meters...nothing more, nothing less.a simple mistake in what i had put down, reverting to the measurement i work in most.yes,i do get pi£$%ed off when some one accuses me of being a liar, dont you?

Yes, it's very annoying. But you seem to be posting things which are not correct - now I've given you the benefit of the doubt and simply assumed you are mistaken.

How much torque is there at the wheels in an ST220 and an ST TDCi, out of interest?
