Can someone look over my CV please

Arial. TNR is almost as bad as comic sans ms.

Thats true for on-screen text, but if its printed then TNR is generally regarded as being better (dont ask me why)

Despite that, personally I use Arial or Trebuchet MS on my printed items.

The next job I apply for in the future is going to have a CV with bright yellows and reds and fancy computer graphics. I'm 100% sure it will be going straight to a bin!

think you have missed the point paul@

i said watermarks, not bright colours, headings are fine for colour, but watermarks.

what a lie, yes the gaps but the colour and pictures in a CV shows your personality, my gf's cv, has background images on like watermarks of fashion model icons, and it looks superb, you want something eye catching.

Unless you're extremely hot, NEVER put a picture of yourself on a CV. Certainly when my manager was going through CV's this year, he was immediately put off by CV's with pictures.

Aye, I agree, no point showing your ugly mug until the employer's at least invested enough to give you the interview :p

Personally i would put your qualification after your previous work experience. Essentially once you've got your first job people will care primarily about your experience and not qualifications. I would also mention what your key achievements are from each jobs. For example the Dixon's job - I managed a team of 4 people and increase sales in my area by X percentage.

I would be wary of putting your hobbies/personal interest down as for every 1 person who also finds them interesting at least 50 people won't.

Also 3 pages is too long trim it down to 2 pages.

In addition to what has been said above...

Get rid of the apostrophe in "GCSEs". Ick.

If you introduce your bulleted list without a colon, as you have done, then end each bullet with a full-stop.

I would hypenate "music-making" or rephrase it.

Just a note about presentation:
I would remove the colour, as it looks a bit out of place to be honest. Also, make the font size 12, and Times New Roman (serif fonts generally look better on paper, whereas sans serif fonts look better on screen)... your current choice of typeface looks rather bulky.

Ok have had a quick play around and come up with another, although i don't think some of my working is right. Pick away again please :D I've updated the first post with the link too.

By the way, I think its the pdf program thats making it a bit wonky but I'm just using it for the time being while I'm trying to sort it out ;)
