Can we have a sub-forum for religious discussion please?

Off the top of my head, something like "Pathways"? It's encompassing of all viewpoints - religious and non-religious/philosophical, and it has a ring to it. Add in a small and suitably encompassing description and Robert's your mum's brother? :)

EDIT: Pathway obviously (??) referring to our spiritual/religious/philosophical journey through life, and the discussion of such.
 
Crikey, my little thread has caused quite a stir today.

Just wanted to wish people a Happy Easter, though I didn't realise that would offend quite so many people (I knew not everyone would agree though, I'm not ignorant of the forums)

I dont honestly think you've offended anyone. If anyone is offended by a fairly generic Easter thread on a computer forum, they need to sort their life out.

Philosophical Discussion would suffice, as that covers a myriad of topics from Religion to Philosophy to Esoterics to Spirituality. (even serious discussion on more "out there" topics such as Ghosts/ESP and so on.)

In all honesty, at the end of the day, to tell you the truth ( :p ) it does work both ways in the sense that individuals need to stop jumping onto what posters say even if what people say is on some level offensive. I dare not mention god now for fear of someone making a silly 'lol god' comment then the regulars swooping in all serious and before you know it the thread length has doubled into this big ridiculous hoohah. Again. People just need to chill out, it's getting silly and making the forum stale.

Also changing speaker's corners title? Really? It just seems to be getting.... beurocratic by demand. Such debates can be general or serious, so why bother changing it. If that's what people want fine, I don't really care, but really? Jeez.

How about All Roads Lead to Rome: For serious non-sectarian discussion of spiritual, religious and philosophical ideas.... or something? Help me out guys....

EDIT: On reflection the Rome reference, while unintentional, may seem biased toward Catholicism. I simply meant to express a 'all viewpoints valid' sentiment. As I said if such a sub-forum were to be opened after all I'm sure a good/clever/apt name could soon be arrived at. Castiel's is short and to the point, which works.

Why does philosophy have to be dumped in there though? Not many philosphical threads get trashed when posted in GD or SC.

The issues seem to be with religious threads, so start it there imo. 'Religious and Spiritual Discussion'

Philosophy is pretty intermingled with both spirituality and religion. It is rare to see a thread on philosophy tbh, and I think this may encourage more people to discuss such topics.
