Short : Subaru driver launches car eight feet into the air and smacks into a tree.

The vehicle is said to have been going in excess of 120 mph, became airborne after running off the road, and struck the lone tree in the field...8 feet up. The single-car accident happened less than 2 miles from his home.

It's not a car, it's a steel meatball.

A bit unlucky there i would say.
Hitting a lone tree would be difficult to do.
It would almost like haveing a tree fall on your car at One Tree Hill. (there is such a place)

23yr old in an 06 scoobie...

Was a recipie for a disaster really...

:o

You cant blame the age of people.

A lot of the people i see driving like ******* are middle age men.
Its all about the type of person really and not there age.
The guy was doing 120mph so he was probably driving like a git, expecally on a road like that.
But you still shouldnt label people like that :o

I diasagree... and so do insurance companies... Claims history PROVES that more fault accident are by young MALE drivers under 25 as they dont have the experience and this guy proved it....

I think you CAN label people like that with the exception proving the rule...

I agree more middle aged men are lazy with lane discipline etc but you see less of them driving around like mental lunatics than younger drivers...

To put it in context, a middle age man respects the power of his car, a young driver wants everyone else to respect the power of his car...

Yes terrible under age drivers, killing babies just by thinking about getting in the car.

not ALL young drivers are bad which you are suggesting here.

Speed alone does not kill, being a tit at speed does.

Hey I am not gonna debate it...

Most sensible insurance co's wont insure anyone under 25 on that sort of car for a reason...

Read my sig

:p

Ouch.

Not long ago near to where I live a BMW managed to launch itself up a curb, a tree, over a fence and into the top floor off a house! It must have launched a good 50ft at least!

How do you confuse more with all

I agree with you, insurance is expensive for under 25 year olds for a reason and so it should be.

I just hate people saying "young drivers are bad" as a generalisation, obvuiusly thats not what you meant.

PS I'm 30 FYI

lol

Underage drivers should only be passengers as they are by definition underage

:p

Driving at 120 mph on any road in the world without any sort of roll cage or helmet will only lead to one thing.

I wonder if hes looking down now saying "it was worth it"

Terrible :(

As for the age, I was 26 when I got my Impreza, I didn't end up dead. It was the first performance car I owned too. It's not a given that anyone under the age of 30 is going to kill themselves in a powerfull car.
