Can you have a sandwich without bread?

Jesus, I dread to think what would happen if someone let you near an oven.
I was trying to soften up some butter in my microwave. Didn't think that the wrapper would have metal in it...

I just managed to get flames inside my microwave trying to make a sandwich. I guess I should have went with one without any bread.
How do you possibly manage that? I make microwave melted cheese sandwiches all the time.

I tried that afterwards, it wasn't very effective. I guess my fridge is just that bit too cold. I dug out some margarine instead.
It's not what Lord Sandwich would have wanted, so no.
